The Parador de Málaga Golf is a seaside course just 10 minutes from Malaga's international airport and the provincial capital.
Years of experience have made the oldest course in Andalusia a challenge for experienced players yet also achievable for any golf enthusiast.
Over the years, the Royal Spanish Golf Federation has selected the golf course at the Parador de Málaga Golf on several occasions for its professional and amateur tournaments in Spain.
Its origins date back to the last century, the early 1920s. In 1925, construction began on the original 9-hole course under the technical supervision of Harry Sephard Colt (who also built Wentworth).
It was later enlarged to 18 holes (6,173 m, par 72) under the supervision and design of the prestigious Tom Simpson (who was also responsible for such important courses as Turnberry, Muirfield and Ballybunion).
Sand dunes, palm trees, mimosas, eucalyptus and pines skirt the course. Two holes run along the edge of the sea.
